First Aid & CPR Course Options
Wondering whether you need First Aid, CPR, or both? HLTAID011 Provide First Aid already includes CPR training as a core component, so this one course covers both skills in a single day. If you’ve been searching for a first aid and cpr course perth, this is it.
Already have your First Aid certificate and just need a cpr course perth to refresh your skills? The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends this every 12 months, well ahead of your 3-year First Aid renewal. Our standalone Provide CPR course is the shorter, more affordable option built specifically for that – a cpr refresher course perth in around 2 hours, rather than repeating the full day.
Enrolment Requirements:
All nationally recognised first aid qualifications require participants to have a basic level of physical capability in order to meet the performance evidence requirements.
You are required to provide uninterrupted cardio pulmonary resuscitation on an adult and infant manikin over a period of two minutes, and be able to respond to an emergency situation where there may be a risk to life.
If a candidate is unable to meet the physical requirements, cannot perform resuscitation and/or first aid to the required standards, a nationally recognised statement of attainment cannot be issued. A certificate of participation will still be issued to the unsuccessful candidate.
Successful completion of a first aid course will provide you with a good basis to progress to other more advanced courses.
As an Elective Unit
This HLTA1D011 Provide First Aid course is offered as an elective unit for our CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, and CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure & Health.
In these instances, the course can be completed as a combination of take-home theory and one-day practical application in class.
These classes are appropriate for all industries and community groups, and courses can be conducted at individual workplaces or venues if minimum numbers and appropriate facilities are available.
First Aid Certificate Validity & Renewal
Your HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate is valid for three years in Western Australia. Within that period, the Australian Resuscitation Council recommends refreshing the CPR component specifically every 12 months, since CPR guidelines are updated more frequently than the broader first aid syllabus.
You don’t need to repeat the full first aid course perth just to stay current on CPR. Our standalone Provide CPR course lets you refresh that one skill in around 2 hours – it’s the cpr refresher course perth option for anyone who’s already done the full day, so your CPR stays current between full First Aid renewals.
