How long does it take to complete a Certificate IV course?
Certificate IV courses typically take 6–18 months, depending on delivery mode and placement hours. Flexible study options are available so you can choose the pace that works for you.
Are flexible study options available?
Yes. We part-time and blended learning options, including after-hours classes to fit into your life however you need it to.
Can I access government funding?
Many students are eligible for FEE-FREE or Lower Fees programs. See each course page for more information or contact us to check course availability and your eligibility.
Do I need prior experience in mental health?
No prior experience is required for entry into Certificate IV, you simply need to meet the eligibility criteria for the course you are applying for and bring a caring attitude.
Will Bestwest Care organise my placement?
Yes. Placement hours are a requirement of nationally recognised qualifications, and Bestwest Care will help you secure a suitable placement.
Can I apply if I am under 18 years old?
You must be at least 16 years old to apply for mental health courses and qualifications. Please review our Learners Under 18 Years Policy and our Information for Learners, Parents and Guardians if you wish to explore future options.
