This course is aimed at Care Workers and Enrolled Nurses who wish to maintain their skills.

  • Pulse oximetry
  • Blood glucose monitoring
  • Tube feeding
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Compression stockings
  • Urinalysis

  • Basic wound care
  • Oral care

A full day course consisting of theory and practical skills

A Statement of Participation is issued on completion.

Enrolled nurses may claim 6.5 hours of PD for this course

What do I need to do to enroll?
Complete an application form

All Bestwest Care Trainers are experienced in the industry and have current Certificate IV Trainer and Assessment qualifications.
This course is delivered by a Registered or Enrolled Nurse who is a qualified Trainer and Assessor.


There are no pre-requisites for this course.

How is the course constructed? The clinical skills course is run from 9.00am to 4.00pm and includes both theory and practical assessment.
How often is the course run?
Monthly or more often as required.

This course can also be conducted onsite at workplaces if appropriatefacilities are available and a minimum number of attendees is achieved.
