What is Bestwest Care?

Bestwest Care is a Western Australian organisation with a long history supporting the aged care sector. Today, we focus on delivering specialist industry training as a Registered Training Organisation, helping individuals build rewarding careers in health, aged care, and disability support.

Is Bestwest Care a Registered Training Organisation?

Yes, Bestwest Care is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 51585) based in Western Australia.
We specialise in delivering nationally recognised training in aged care, disability support, and mental health. Our courses are designed to meet current industry standards and prepare students for meaningful, in-demand roles across the health and community care sectors. Many of our courses are subsidised through Jobs and Skills WA, making quality training more accessible for all Western Australians.

What courses does Bestwest Care offer?

Bestwest Care offers a range of accredited disability and aged care courses, as well as a range of short courses. Accredited courses include Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, Certificate IV in Disability Support, Certificate IV in Leisure & Health, and Certificate IV in Mental Health.

Can anyone take a Bestwest Care training course?

Yes. However, each course has a different set of prerequisites. We recommend that you read the prerequisites on our course pages prior to applying.

How long does it take to complete a course?

Some courses, like the Certificate III in Individual Support, can be completed in as little as 7-10 weeks, making you job-ready in a short time.

Are there any government subsidies available for the courses?

Yes, the WA State Government, through Jobs and Skills WA, subsidizes vocational education and training (VET) courses in priority areas. At present, this relates only to the Cert 3 in Individual Support course. Details on Fee-Free Training 2025 eligibility are available on each course page.

What types of training formats does Bestwest Care offer?

Bestwest Care offers flexible, high-quality training options. Choose from in-person or blended online courses, with full-time, part-time, day, and evening sessions to fit your schedule – all while meeting strict industry training standards.

Does Bestwest Care provide practical work experience?

Yes, our courses include practical work placement arranged through our strong connections with industry partners.

What short courses are available?

Bestwest Care offers various short courses including Manual Handling, Assist Clients With Medications, Provide CPR, and Provide First Aid.
