Prerequisites

All nationally recognised first aid qualifications require participants to have a basic level of physical capability in order to meet the performance evidence requirements. You are required to provide uninterrupted cardio pulmonary resuscitation on an adult and infant manikin over a period of two minutes, and respond to an emergency situation where there may be a risk to life.

If a candidate is unable to meet the physical requirements, cannot perform resuscitation and/or first aid to the required standards, a nationally recognised statement of attainment cannot be issued. A certificate of completion will however still be issued to the unsuccessful candidate.

Successful completion of a first aid course will provide you with a good basis to progress to other more advanced courses. As one of the leading facilities for first aid training in Perth, our courses are nationally recognised and can pave the way for a career as a care worker.
