Margaret Mazzucchelli – Director
Margaret is a Registered Nurse and has a Bachelor of Applied Science – Nursing. Margaret has had a wide variety of experience in the Health and Aged Care sectors including Community and Public Health, Aged Care, human resource management, change management and implementation.
In 2001, after many years as a leader and manager in both public and private Health and Aged Care settings, Margaret established Bestwest Care. Bestwest Care commenced as a staffing agency before registering as a Registered Training Organisation in 2005.
Margaret was well aware of the problems faced by Aged Care providers and their need for quality, well-trained and skilled staff, and set up the organisation to provide qualified staff to Aged Care facilities throughout WA, as well as professional industry training.
Maggie Rushton – Training Manager
Maggie has many years’ experience in the provision of aged care in England and in Australia. She presents training to Certificate III and Certificate IV students and is responsible for the management of all training activities.
Maggie holds the following qualifications:

Sally Scholfield – Business Manager
Sally is the Business Manager at Bestwest Care and has been involved in administration, human resources and staffing extensively in her working career.
Karen Du Toit – Business Development Manager
Karen is our Business Development Manager at Bestwest Care and brings with her a wealth of knowledge from her experience in both sales and administration.
Karen has also completed her Certificate of Accreditation in Mental Health First Aid
Tegan Ashley – Receptionist
Our receptionist Tegan will be the voice you hear when you contact Bestwest Care. Tegan brings with her skills and knowledge which makes contacting the staff at Bestwest Care a seamless process.
Erina Goodwin – Trainer & Assessor
Erina is an Enrolled Nurse. She has extensive experience in Aged, Home and Community and Disability Care. Erina is involved in all aspects of training delivery and assessment.
Erina holds the following qualifications:
- Certificate III and IV in Community Services
- Certificate III and IV in Aged Care
- Diploma in Community Services
- Diploma in Nursing
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
- Certificate of Accreditation Mental Health First Aid
Erina has recently transitioned to the new qualification Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support and Certificate IV in Disability.
Kayla Brown – Trainer & Assessor
Kayla has been working in aged care for many years both as a Care Worker and as a Trainer and Assessor .
Kayla holds the following qualifications:
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Certificate of Accreditation Mental Health First Aid
Juliet Dominy – Trainer and Assessor
Juliet comes to Bestwest Care with hands on knowledge of the aged care industry and hold the following qualifications
- Cert IV Ageing Support
- Cert IV Leisure and Health
- Cert IV Training and Assessment
- Cert III Aged Care
- Cert III Disability Work
- Cert III Health Services Assistance
Dawn Walker – Trainer & Assessor
Dawn has a wide variety of experience in many industries including aged care and disability care. She presents training to Certificate III students and teaches Apply First Aid.
Dawn is an Award Member of Royal Life Saving – WA.
Dawn holds the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Biology
- Certificate III in Aged Care,
- Certificate III in Home and Community Care
- Certificate III and Iv in Health and Fitness
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110).
- HLTAID003 Provide First Aid and HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid.
Dawn has recently transitioned to the new qualification Certificate III in Individual Support .
Kim Wheeler – Student Liaison Officer
Kim is our Student Liaison Officer who manages the organisation of student placements as well as offers administration support.
Kim has recently completed her Certificate of Accreditation in Mental Health First Aid
Jennifer Lundin – Accounts Clerk
Our Accounts Clerk Jenny is also part of our administration team and is responsible for issuing our students with their certificates once they have completed training with us.
Gaylia, Debbie and Simon – Agency and After Hours Staff
Gaylia works across the agency and administration roles but you may occasionally see her assisting students with enrolment queries.
Debbie is our roster clerk three days a week in the office as well as being part of our after hours roster team.
Our after hours agency team of Debbie and Simon provide valuable support to our agency staff and clients.
