CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support
CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is the standard entry-level qualification for Aged, Disability, Home and Community care workers. This Nationally Recognized Qualification can be undertaken either full or part-time and includes both classroom and practical work placements. You may choose to specialize in one area or select a combination of two or all three specialisations.
Bestwest Care offers flexible learning options including full-time, part-time and evening classes and can customise schedules to suit your life experience and individual study needs. If full-time study is undertaken, the course duration is 8-1 2 weeks. Upon graduation, you will have the necessary skills and knowledge to secure your new job as a fully qualified care worker.
This Course includes class study, role play and simulations, home based theory and practical work placement . You will learn how to promote independence and wellbeing; gaining a broad range of technical skills from manual handling to CPR and observing vital signs, as well as best practice infection control, cultural safety, communication and much more.

Certificate IV Courses
CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability Support
Certificate IV in Disability Support is aimed at people who may have some knowledge or experience within the disability sector or who have completed another qualification and wish to change direction to work with people with disabilities.
The Certificate IV course is completed through a combination of attendance at training sessions, home study and practical workplace experience. Part-time evening classes are also available and are scheduled on a weekly basis.
CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
If you are interested in expanding on your skills and knowledge to help people with disability or care needs participate in leisure and social activities, then this course may be for you.
Certificate IV in Leisure and Health enables learners to participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of leisure and health activities for clients. It is completed through a combination of attendance at training sessions, home study and practical workplace experience. Part-time evening classes are also available and are scheduled on a weekly basis.
CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health
Certificate IV in Mental Health is aimed at people working in a wide range of fields where they may require knowledge and skills to assist people with mental illness. The course has a focus on self-directed, recovery orientated support for people affected by mental illness and psychiatric disability.
The course is delivered using a combination of training sessions, home study and workplace experience. Part-time classes are available on a weekly basis.
CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Certificate IV in Ageing Support is aimed at people who already have some knowledge and/or experience in the Aged Care or related sector. The course is a blend of classroom-based and flexible studies with practical workplace experience required. Part-time evening classes are also available and are scheduled on a weekly basis.
There are some units of competency within this qualification which overlap with Certificate III in Individual Support.
Financial Information
Financial assistance is available for eligible applicants enrolling in CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support . If you are a valid Concession cardholder, the Australian government provides significant subsidies for Certificate III Courses. You can save up to 90% in fees!
Bestwest Care does not offer VET Fee or other student loans, but we can negotiate flexible payment plans.

Units of competency – individual units of study
It’s an unpleasant thought, but accidents happen. If an accident or incident happens in the workplace or other setting, don’t be a helpless witness. A first aid support course can go a long way to helping save a life.
HLTAID009 Provide CPR can be completed as a stand-alone unit of competency or as a part of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.
The Assist clients with Medications course is aimed at workers providing assistance with medications in their workplace.
The unit includes theory, practical skills and a workplace assessment.
This unit is suitable for workers who are required to assist clients who have swallowing difficulties.

- HLTWHS005 Conduct Manual Handling Tasks Safely
This unit of competency is applicable for any worker who is required to perform manual handling tasks within their work place.
